VectorForge: Browser-Based Vector & SVG Tools
A Next.js web app with eighteen vector tools (image vectorising, SVG optimisation, palettes and editing) that run entirely in the browser.
Overview
VectorForge turns bitmaps into editable vector paths, shrinks SVG files, pulls colour palettes out of images and lets users edit SVGs directly. It offers eighteen tools across eight categories in four languages, with no account required.
I built it for a client with Next.js. All processing happens in the browser using Web Workers, so files are never uploaded and large images aren't limited by upload quotas.
Key features
- Image and logo vectoriser (PNG to SVG)
- SVG optimiser that keeps responsive scaling intact
- Palette extraction and HEX, RGB and CMYK conversion
- Live SVG viewer and editor with exports to React and React Native
- Processing in Web Workers, no uploads
- Available in four languages
