PocketPOS: POS, Billing & Khata App for Small Shops
My own Flutter point-of-sale app for local shops: barcode billing, stock, udhaar khata and receipt printing, built to keep working offline.
Overview
PocketPOS replaces the paper bill book and khata register for small businesses such as kiryana stores, pharmacies, mobile shops and wholesalers. A shopkeeper scans a barcode or searches a product, adds discounts or tax, takes payment in cash, card, mobile wallet or on credit, and the bill opens straight after the sale, ready to print or share as a PDF on WhatsApp.
I designed and built it as a personal product for the local market. It is written in Flutter with an offline-first architecture: sales are stored on the device when the internet drops and sync to the cloud when the connection returns, so the counter never stops. The same shop runs on several phones and in a web app on a computer, with each shop's data kept separate.
Beyond billing, it covers the rest of a shop's day: stock that updates with every sale and warns when it runs low, a digital udhaar khata with credit limits for each customer, supplier invoices and dues, sales reports, and staff logins with owner-only permissions.
